Registration is now open for the Art Gallery of Algoma's Summer Art Classes for children. These classes are perfect for budding artists to get creative and have fun as they explore different themes and make art projects that teach them about drawing, painting, sculpting, recycled art and mixed-media. Classes for children ages 5-9 are in the morning from 9:30 am to 12 pm, and classes for youth ages 10-14 are in the afternoon from 1:30 pm to 4 pm. One week of classes is $150 for AGA members and $200 for the general public. The Great Bucket List Cycle is Back for another amazing year! We’re thrilled to celebrate the spirit of cycling and community once again! Mark your calendars for Sunday, August 24, on beautiful St. Joseph Island! Cyclists of all levels will come together to ride in support of ARCH Hospice. Whether you’re up for the challenge of our 100 km Gran Fondo, or prefer the 70 km or 40 km routes, there’s a ride for everyone. And new this year we’re excited to bring back the 20 km option, perfect for beginners or families just getting started with cycling! This event welcomes riders of all ages and abilities. Why not make it a family affair? Our goal is simple: each cyclist aims to raise or donate at least $1 per kilometer ridden. Every dollar raised goes directly to providing compassionate, quality end-of-life care for local families through ARCH Hospice. Can’t join us in person on August 24? No problem! You can still participate by cycling on your own schedule. Pick your own route, choose your date, and ride in solidarity with our community.
